Dr. Richard K. Caldwell was born and raised in Gastonia, North Carolina. He attended Ashbrook High School (1973), University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (1977) with a degree in Chemistry, and Emory University School of Dentistry (1981).
After graduation from Emory, Dr. Caldwell began his private practice in Matthews, North Carolina. In 1989, the practice opened in its current location in the Arboretum Professional Park. As a member of the Charlotte Implant Study Club and through continuing education courses, he keeps up to date with the latest trends in dentistry.
Dr. Caldwell is married to Shawn Gray Caldwell and has three sons. He enjoys photography, golf, hiking and going to the lake with his dogs.
